Future Zone

The Future Zone

It's all about good ideas that make a difference...

And, it's never been more important to consider the impact of mankind's innovation on the planet we inhabit.

At this year's Gloucestershire Motor Show, we wanted to put the spotlight on some of the newest and smartest automotive innovations designed to create a positive impact on the environment and, at the same time, capture our passion for the motorcar.

ADEY Professional Heating Solutions has established an award winning reputation for developing new products for the heating industry that make a difference reducing heating bills and carbon emissions.

It's entirely appropriate therefore that ADEY is sponsoring the Future Zone for the first time and supporting such a worthwhile event in the delightful setting of Highnam Court.

The zone features a number of exciting and 'never before seen' automotive technologies and cutting edge designs.

The product of collaboration between Bath University and BMW, the CLEVER vehicle combines the convenience of a motorbike with the comfort of a car. Fuelled by compressed natural gas, it significantly reduces CO2 emissions. Suitable for up to two passengers, the handling is somewhat different with an automated corner tilting mechanism for enhanced stability.

Birmingham University's hydrogen is another environmental marvel. The vehicle represents one of the 21st Century's most publicised breakthroughs in sustainable motoring. The car – powered by a hydrogen fuel cell - is pollution free, virtually silent in operation and can travel distances of up to 100 miles on a full tank of hydrogen and clocks speeds of up to 50 mph.

The Future Zone also showcases the latest development from Morgan as it makes one of its few UK appearances. We also have the Segway – leader in personal, green transportation in the emerging small electric vehicle space.
